Miss Ohio has been recording and playing music in and around New York City since 2003. "Low" is the New Jersey band's 2nd full-length album. Recorded in the winter of 2007 at the Pigeon Club in Hoboken and mixed in the summer of 2007 by Eric "Roscoe" Ambel and Tim Hatfield at Cowboy Technical Studios in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, the album is evidence of the remarkable growth that the band has experienced in recent years. Miss Ohio's sound ranges from quiet, stark arrangements to noisy pop to straight-ahead rock. Not concerned with genre or style, the band creates a sonic space which allows the creative interplay between co-guitarist Jim Kaznosky and guitarist/singer David Wilson, while bassist Pietro Lorino weaves creative lines among the understated, yet powerful playing of drummer Brandon Loikits.
